"JJ Original"_™ Series

We introduced our first vintage Danelectro reproductions back in the 80's and 90's and after being absent from our line for a few years, we're bring them back with our "JJ Original" line.

JJ Original guitars have original body and headstock styling and many have distinctive matching neck and body paint. The coke bottle headstocks are fixed with our traditional "Jerry Jones Guitars" red triangle decal. We're using traditional shaped pickguards that includes the white curli-que pickguard used on our Shorthorn® "Jimmy Page" style guitar. Switching for 2 PU models utilizes a heavy-duty bat-handle switch while the 3PU models use standard 5-way Strat® switching.

High quality Gotoh® hardware, keys, bridges are used throughout with all models fitted with our own homespun lipstick tube pickups. As always...they're made right here in Nashville, TN  USA.

  Another classic 1950s instrument with modern refinements.  The traditional double cutaway body shape gives great access to upper frets. Normally tuned a 5th or 4th below standard, this instrument lends itself to creative playing over an extended range without sacrificing playability. JJ Original Longhorn Bass6
  In the 50s and 60s the six string bass was used in Nashville recordings to double the acoustic bass lines. This technique, referred to as tic-tac bass,   produced bass lines with a distinctive click and presence that was so prevalent in sound recordings of that era. These instruments have since found their way into all styles of modern music. Normally played with a thin pick and tuned E~to~E one octave below standard guitar.
