In the past, he has petitioned manufactures on the behalf of all lefties for more and better models. He was one of the prominent voices to influence Martin not to up charge lefty models. This new signature guitar, is in the tradition of the 000-28EC Eric Clapton signature model and has many of the same attributes as his first. Three will be made left handed. To provide a touch of his personal style, Mayer has created an art deco-inspired monogram, which is embroidered on the Geib style hard case. Each guitar will be individually numbered in sequence. Behind the scences with CSN for most of their carreer Gerry, as their manager, was the glue that helped hold the group together. His life was tragicly cut short in an auto accident New years 2005. To commemorate his life and acheivements Martin Guitars has collaberated with David Crosby, Grahm Nash and Stephen Stills to build a memorial guitar fitting of his stature with a portion of the proceeds going to Gerry's children's college fund. The end result is a stunning and unique dreanaught bearing the original Phil hartman Designed CSN logo on the headplate. Upon hearing about this project, Neil Young, who has never lent a personal endorsement for a commercial product, eagerly signed on.
